New Zealand Primary School Adds 16.5 kW in New Solar Addition

The Challenge

The location of Rotokauri Primary School is elevated and exposed to high winds and sea air, so it was important to utilise a quality system capable of handling wind uplift and manufactured from non-corrosive materials.

The location of the connection point and the array layout required cables to be surface-mounted between the lower and upper roofs in conduit, making wire management and clean aesthetics important considerations. Overall, the school required a lightweight, easy-to-maintain, quality system that was simple to install and safe to work around.

Project Stats

The school selected the PVKIT DirectAttach™ rail-less solar mount to support a 16.5 kW rooftop solar system. The lightweight system provided a simple, economical installation while maintaining a clean, low-profile appearance.

By fixing panels directly to the roof ribs, PVKIT improved installation efficiency and delivered more uniform load distribution, eliminating the need for traditional racking.
