This area of Pennsylvania receives considerable snowfall and those involved with planning this new facility wanted to ensure snow wouldn’t slide off their new metal roof and endanger the patrons and property below. They also required an aesthetic solution to blend in with the surrounding countryside.
Fisher’s Roofing utilized the complete S-5! ColorGard system, including S-5-S clamps, VersaClips™ and SnoClips™ II. Together, the snow retention solution provided the aesthetics they were seeking since the ColorGard system offered perfect color and finish-matching designed to last the life of the roof. And, it offered the fully tested and engineered safety they needed to protect patrons from sliding snow off the new metal roof.
E. B. Martin Roofing based in Upstate New York donated the steel along with local metal roofing company, A.B. Martin Roofing. Other local businesses including Kyfus Metal Sales donated their time and equipment to roll form the steel on-site; and Fisher’s Roofing donated their time to install the roof and complete snow retention system. The result was a beautiful roof and facility that would serve the community for years to come.
The Central Pennsylvania Clinic has reduced the risk of sudden and unexpected release of snow, posing a serious threat to patrons and property below. The ColorGard system does not damage the roof or finish, nor compromise the roof integrity and eliminates the risk of voided roof warranties.
ColorGard snow guards feature finish-matching that lasts the life of the roof because it is the same material as the roof. Easily install any time of the year; or retrofit the ColorGard system to an existing roof or incorporate it in the new roof design.
The S-5-S (“S” stands for snap-lock) is a non-penetrating, standing seam metal roof (SSMR) clamp. The S is designed for most popular vertical snap-together profiles -- typically with vertical dimensions of 1.5” (38 mm) and 1.75” (44 mm).
