S-5!'s pre-engineered snow retention system helps manage snow and ice on an exposed-fastened metal roof at a Colorado equestrian and agricultural facility.
Located along Colorado's Front Range, Wildstone Ranch faces demanding winter conditions, including winds exceeding 60–80 mph and rapid snow accumulation.
The 2,500-square-foot equestrian and agricultural facility features an exposed-fastened PBR metal roof, with horse stalls, paddocks, gutters and farm equipment directly below the roofline. Sudden snow and ice shedding posed potential hazards to horses, people and equipment, while also threatening gutters essential for proper drainage.
Wildstone Ranch is a 20-acre equestrian and agricultural property in Larkspur, Colorado, home to three rescued horses. Its 2,500-square-foot building features a 26-gauge PBR exposed-fastened metal roof with a 3:12 pitch and 12-foot lean-tos.
To help manage snow and ice above vulnerable areas, the project incorporated 208 linear feet of SnoGard EF and 104 linear feet of ColorStrip.

SnoGard EF Installed
Blazing Construction installed S-5!'s SnoGard EF, a pre-engineered, prescriptive continuous snow retention system designed specifically for exposed-fastened metal roofs.
With published application guidelines and simplified load charts, SnoGard EF provides a straightforward approach to system selection and installation.
The system helps manage accumulated snow and ice above the horse stalls, paddocks, gutters and equipment storage areas, reducing the risk of sudden snow shedding. ColorStrip complements the roof's finish, providing a clean, consistent appearance.
