Using SnoClip™ Retards Migration of Snow and Ice
SnoClips™ can be used in conjunction with ColorGard® by mounting them to the back.
SnoClips™ can be used in conjunction with ColorGard® by mounting them to the back.
To help retard snow and ice migration beneath the ColorGard® crossmember, S-5!® developed the SnoClip™. This aluminum add-on is easy to use and comes with an integrated rubber "foot" that helps prevent abrasion to the finish of the roofing panel. Simply snap SnoClip™  to the back of the crossmember.

Installation Is Easy

Using pliers, a mallet or Channel-Locks, SnoClip™ can be easily added to the ColorGard® crossmember. Both SnoClip II™ and SnoClip III™ offer multiple locks to choose from. Choose the lock that leaves the rubber "foot" of the clip resting against the surface of the roof panel. Test your choice of locks by applying downward pressure on the SnoClip™.  The "toe" of a properly installed SnoClip™ will engage the panel before the "heel" does.

SnoClip II™

SnoClip™ is designed to service roofs of varying seam heights.  The two locks on SnoClip II™ make it the right choice for 1” (25 mm) and 1-3/4” (44.5 mm) seams.  It can also be used on 2” (51 mm) vertical seams, but it is not appropriate for horizontal seams of the same height.

 

 

 

SnoClip III™
SnoClip III™

The longer SnoClip III™ comes with three different locks to choose from. SnoClip III™ works with a range of seam heights, from 1-3/4” (44.5 mm) to 3” (76 mm).

Caution: SnoClip II™ and SnoClip III™ should not be used when the attachment spacing is greater than 32” (81.3 cm). Should your seam spacing exceed 32" (81.3 cm), ask your S-5!® distributor about custom SnoClips™. SnoClip™ is not appropriate for use on copper roofs.
