VersaBracket™ can be used to mount virtually anything to an exposed-fastened roof system and is compatible with almost any trapezoidal, exposed-fastened profile. No messy sealants to apply! No chance for leaks! The VersaBracket™ comes with factory-applied sealant already in the base for a water-tight attachment.


VersaBracket™ is so strong, it will even support heavy-duty applications like snow retention. For exposed-fastened, trapezoidal profiles, the VersaBracket™ is the perfect match for our ColorGard® snow retention systems (For corrugated roofs use CorruBracket™). VersaBracket™ is extremely economical and facilitates quick and easy installation.


To accommodate various rib heights, VersaBracket™ comes in two heights—the 2.65" VB-67 and the 1.86" VB-47. The VB-67 mounting face has no holes or slots, thus, ancillary items are typically secured using self-tapping screws (not included). The VB-47 offers various mounting face configurations with minimum purchase requirements. (Contact your distributor for available configurations.) Each VersaBracket™ comes with factory-applied butyl sealant in the base. A structural aluminum attachment bracket, VersaBracket™ is compatible with most common metal roofing materials. The ColorGard® Crossmember simply fastens to the VersaBracket™ with self-drilling screws (not included). Select a pre-painted metal color strip of your choice or simply use ColorGard without a color strip.  With or without the color strip, ColorGard provides functional protection with a great look!


Installation Is Simple!

VersaBracket™ is mounted in the flat of the panel, directly into the supporting structure of the roof, i.e. wood decking, wood or steel purlins or trusses. No surface preparation is necessary; simply wipe away excess oil and debris, peel the release paper from the base, align and apply. Secure through the pre-punched holes using the appropriate screws (not included) for the supporting structure.

Load Test Results

Load Testing Normal to Mounting Surface

This table represents ultimate and allowable tensile loads applied to the S-5!® Bracket in a negative load direction normal to the bracket mounting surface. Please note that this protocol isolates failure to the bracket and fastener connection. It is possible that in an actual construction assembly some other mode of failure may occur at lower loads than those produced with this protocol. Loads imposed on the S-5!® Brackets will be transferred to the panels and their attachment. Panel ribs must have sufficient flexural strength to carry these loads when bracket is used mid-span. Panel attachment and building structure must also be sufficient to carry these loads. The makers of S-5!® clamps make no representations with respect to these variables. It is the responsibility of the user to verify this information, or seek assistance from a qualified design professional if necessary.

Allowable loads are listed utilizing a default Factor of Safety (FS) = 3.0. Actual factor of safety is the responsibility of the designer and should be employed as appropriate. Enter desired Factor of Safety and reset/re-tabulate.

All tabled values are dependent upon fastener connection. Load testing of S-5!® Brackets is conducted with screws deemed appropriate for the product and the material to which it is attached. The fasteners tested in conjunction with brackets are commercially available, the specific type of fasteners are footnoted at the bottom of the load test data table.
