The S-5-K Clamp is normally used on the lapped rib (not the intermediate rib). It can be used on either rib when using the optional sheet metal screw. For installations involving the sheet metal screw, the flanged half of the clamp MUST be placed opposite to the open edge of the seam. When using the clamp for snow retention, the S-5-K Clamp assembly should be specifically engineered to each individual project.
